Members of Matheon are participating in the project "Doing math differently", which is supported by the Deutsche Telekom Foundation in conjunction with the Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung (German Association of Mathematicians).
The focus of the project is to establish a nationwide initiative for teacher training in the subject of mathematics. This involves devising and providing teacher training modules which are accessible throughout Germany. A secondary school teacher (mathematics or specialized methodology of mathematics) and a member of the teaching staff trained in school practice are the experts for these modules. www.mathematik-anders-machen.de
Colleagues in the field can also utilize the offers from "Rent the Center" for teacher training.
The initiative "Doing math differently" is continued in project ZE2.
